Fiat has a long history of promoting road safety in Brazil. And according to the World Health Organization, using a mobile phone while driving increases the risk of a traffic accident by up to 400%.The idea came from a personal life experience.
After a car crash, a friend described the impact by saying the vehicles had formed the shape of the letter "L."
Years later, I heard once again the same. A celebrity use the exact same expression while recounting another accident on a podcast.That coincidence revealed a familiar visual language people naturally use to describe collisions.
We transformed that insight into a campaign that made the danger of texting while driving instantly recognizable, reinforcing a simple message: every text can become the shape of an accident waiting to happen.
