Planet or Plastic?


A campaign about ocean pollution in a country with more foreign residents than natives.

National Geographic launched a pitch to select an agency for the Planet or Plastic? platform in the Middle East. Our idea was driven by the fact that nearly 90% of the UAE population is made up of immigrants, many from countries with high levels of ocean pollution. The year-long campaign focused each month on one of the 12 countries with the greatest impact on ocean pollution, eight of which are also among the most common nationalities in the UAE.

12 artists creating interpretations of the problems in their own countries and raising awareness about climate change.

The entire creative process was recorded and turned into an article on NatGeo’s channel and social media networks.
